  1. Morning Jeep Ride to Saigon's Landmarks

    Your guide and driver collect you from your hotel in an open-top jeep, ready to weave through Saigon's traffic. The first stop is the Reunification Palace, once known as Independence Palace, where the events of April 1975 are still visible in its untouched rooms. From there you continue to the Central Post Office, designed in the 1880s, and to Notre Dame Cathedral, built by French colonists between 1863 and 1880. The morning continues at the War Remnants Museum, where tanks, aircraft and photographs document the Vietnam War.

  2. Midday Pagodas, Streets and Ben Thanh Market

    From the museum, the jeep carries you to the Jade Emperor Pagoda, a Chinese Cantonese temple more than a century old, before passing the former U.S. Embassy building. You drive along Dong Khoi and Nguyen Hue streets, two of the city's most storied avenues, and stop at the Saigon Opera House, built in 1897. The tour ends at Ben Thanh Market, one of the oldest markets in the city, where you can wander among stalls of food, spices and souvenirs before being driven back to your hotel.
