Three relaxed days that show two faces of the Mekong Delta. We cycle the quiet island paths of Vinh Long and spend a night with a family, then continue to Can Tho, the lively river city of the delta, for an evening by the water and an early morning on the river.

Itinerary

Every part can be changed to suit your group.

  1. Day 1 Saigon to Vinh Long Island Life

    We leave Saigon at around 7:30 AM by private car and drive into the Mekong Delta. After a bike fitting, we start cycling on small village roads and canal-side paths, stopping often for photos and short conversations with the people we meet. Lunch is in a quiet countryside house, with home-style southern dishes. In the afternoon we cross to a river island and follow narrow paths and small bridges through orchards, brick kilns and riverside homes. We arrive at our homestay at around 5:00 PM and spend the evening with the family, sharing dinner and stories as the island grows quiet.

  2. Day 2 Vinh Long to Can Tho by Bike and Road

    After breakfast at the homestay, we set off on a morning ride through nearby villages, gardens and canal paths, at a pace that suits you. Around midday we stop for lunch and then continue toward Can Tho, mixing short transfers with cycling sections on quieter country roads. We pass rice fields, Khmer pagodas and small markets along the way. We arrive in Can Tho in the late afternoon and check in to our hotel. In the evening you can walk along the riverside promenade, try local dishes at the night market or simply relax by the water.

  3. Day 3 Can Tho River Life and Return to Saigon

    We start early, at around 6:00 AM, with a boat trip on the river to see how the city begins its day: boats loaded with fruit and vegetables, families cooking on board and small canals lined with houses. Depending on local conditions, we visit the floating market and a family workshop on the water. Back on land, we take a short final ride or visit a local garden near Can Tho before lunch. In the afternoon the private car takes us back to Saigon, arriving at your hotel at around 5:00 PM.
