Mekong Adventures was founded by Ryan Truong Van Hoang, a Vietnamese travel entrepreneur with a deep love for his country, its people, its rivers, its small roads and its everyday culture. Long before building his own travel business, Ryan began his journey as an inbound tour guide, welcoming international travelers and helping them understand Vietnam through real stories, local life and personal encounters.
Before starting his business journey in 2013, Ryan spent years working close to travelers from around the world. That experience shaped the way he sees tourism today: travel should not only be about visiting famous places, but about understanding how people live, what they eat, how they move, how they work, and how a destination feels when you slow down enough to truly notice it.

Mekong Adventures is built from Ryan’s personal connection with Vietnam. It reflects his belief that the most beautiful travel memories often come from small roads, local conversations, family meals, quiet canals, village paths and honest moments that do not always appear in guidebooks.
