1. Evening Across the River at Sunset

   Your driver and guide pick you up at your hotel at around 5:00 PM. We ride across the Saigon River to Thu Thiem to watch the skyline change colour at sunset, then head back into the city through the evening traffic to the Ho Thi Ky flower market, busy with sellers and buyers. Our drivers are experienced and careful, and they ride slowly so you can relax, look around and take photos. Thu Thiem was once marshland and is now a new district, giving a good view of how fast Saigon is changing. The flower market is busiest in the evening, when sellers prepare flowers for temples, weddings and family altars.

   
2. Night Local Dinner and Chinatown

   Dinner is at a popular local stall where we try dishes such as grilled pork with rice paper rolls and seafood. We continue to Cho Lon, Saigon’s Chinatown, for a short walk around a temple and the lit-up streets, before riding back to your hotel at around 9:00 PM. At dinner, your guide shows you how to wrap grilled meat with herbs and rice paper and which sauces go with each dish. In Cho Lon we visit a Chinese temple filled with incense coils and lanterns, and see the busy streets where families sell everything from dried goods to paper offerings. The tour is suitable for all ages, and helmets and rain gear are provided.
